TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
Queen Elizabeth National Park: With its adequate water supply from the two lakes in the park, tourists are assured of great wildlife sightings within Queen Elizabeth National Park. Among the animals that can be found at the park include the Ugandan kob, African bush elephants, crocodiles, the African buffalo, lion, leopard and chimpanzees. The park boasts of ‘tree-climbing lions’ whose males have black manes. Other features of attraction include volcanic structures such as lakes and craters.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park: The Park is most famous for its mountain gorillas and has subsequently been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has a conservancy to protect around 340 mountain gorillas which are half of the world’s total population of the species. Other animals inhabiting the mountainous park include Colobus monkeys, elephants, chimpanzees and hornbills.
Kibale National Park: Kibale is a small park, measuring only 776 square kilometres. Its diverse elevations, ranging between 1,100 metres and 1,600 metres, means the park can become colder than expected in Africa. Being a rainforest, showers are possible at any time.
