Notice: Maldives transfers are mandatory and must be selected at time of booking. There are two international airports in the Maldives, (Velana International Airport, MLE and Gan International Airport, GAN), please make sure there are transfers available to your chosen hotel from your arrival and departure airport and select the transfer option corresponding to this airport. There are three different ways you can reach your resort dependent on its location in the Maldives; by speedboat, by seaplane or by a domestic flight and speedboat. Selecting a resort that is reached by speedboat: Transfers by speedboat operate 24 hrs, usually last no longer than 90 minutes and are shared with other guests. Selecting a resort that is reached by seaplane: Seaplanes operate in daylight hours only, therefore you need to select an international flight which arrives into the Maldives no later than 15:30 and departures from Male no earlier than 9am, are usually not accepted. Please note that seaplanes may not operate a direct service and may include multiple drop offs. Please also note that seaplane transfers do not operate in bad weather and this may cause delay reaching your resort. If you are departing on an evening/night international flight, you may experience longer waiting times before your international departure. The scheduled time of your seaplane transfer will be advised the night before your departure. Please note luggage restriction of 1 x 20kg hold luggage per passenger and a maximum of 3kg hand-luggage per passenger(excluding infants). Additional luggage will be charged at approximately USD5.00 per kg. Selecting a resort that is reached by domestic flight and speedboat: Some resorts are reached by a domestic flight. Notice: Entry in to the Maldives: The Maldivian Government has updated their entry requirements and now all travellers must submit an online health declaration form within 24 hours prior to their departure to Maldives. Please complete your ONLINE SELF-DECLARATIVE HEALTH DECLARATION via https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/ within 24 hours prior to departure TO and FROM Maldives. For convenience and a quick/smooth arrival experience at the airport, complete this health screen questionnaire which will become effective as of 16th July. Anyone who arrives without the online form completed, will be asked to fill it in at the airport and will take time/cause delay.
