We had an amazing escorted tour starting on 3rd September to 17th September 2016. We left from London Heathrow to Mumbai to Udaipur to Jaipur to Agra ending in Delhi.
The pace of the tours was perfect for pensioners aged 64 and 70 years.

Narayan from Lumle tours worked relentlessly at weekends and evenings. We live on Gozo off Malta and he was always in contact ever helpful and always answering questions. He phoned several times and while we were in Mumbai to check if everything was ok.

He shrunk visa photos and talked us through the e visa application for India. All flights, extensive tours, guides, the air conditioned car and driver Babalu always provided chilled water all were. We were met at every airport and at each delarture airport. The whole trip ran smoothly like clockwork. Every person involved in our tour were helpful friendly and couldn’t do enough for us.

Mumbai airport was an architectural delight and the modern sprawling city had the usual traffic problems but was sympathetic to the tired traveller especially when we arrived at the ocean view Trident at Nariman Point Mumbai which was an excellent luxurious choice by Lumle tours to start our holiday.Having 34 floors it stood high above the clouds on the one day we had rain.
It has the fastest lifts ever experienced! With views of Marine Drive and the Queens necklace of lights at night and the large bedroom which does justice to Corbusier . Theres a superb comfy bed pillows fluffiest towels and dressing gowns flowers, a box of spices and daily gifts from housekeeping it was unforgettable.

After the 2008 Islamic terrorist occupation, security was extremely tight as in many areas of Mumbai. Though we walked extensively and felt safe.
As in all 5 star hotels selected for us each had different architectural design and ambiance. They were very clean and there were comfortable big beds soft pillows and luxury and each a large pool and spa facilities.

We recommend the tour to Dharavi slums. Having lived in Nigeria Nepal and visited India many times its something we’d never experienced before. Our guide Nanu was a slum dweller and with him we explored every corner. Be prepared for a two hour walk. It was an easy walk to the Gate of Mumbai and we enjoyed shopping in Colobar causeway drank delicious coffee and lemon soda in Leopolds.Bought quality clothes in Fabindia

The Franjipani restaurant in the Trident served gastronomic delights and catered for all needs The hotel staff never tired of helpfing us they recommended restaurants and The Royal Palace Chinese was very good and it was walkable back to the hotel.The Trident concierge was an invaluable man. Sorry I cant remember his name. He even stamped and posted 14 postcards for free.
The Trident in Udaipur is set in acres of countryside with hills and its near the Lake. A pretty low level hotel resort in contrast with the Mumbai Trident. We enjoyed warm misty mornings hot afternoons and it was a beautiful place to stay in Udaipur. With an amazing huge shop at its entrance Jagdish Arts and Crafts

It was impossible not to be tempted to buy items. He packed and shipped heavier items by Fed Ex.Which are already here in Malta awaiting customs! The Pichola lake boatrip is worthwhile and the guide was a mine of imformation. The ITC Rajputana Jaipur was an imposing contrasting red brick hotel in the city. Again a lovely pool and gardens. And the later built metro running to the back of it was hardly noticeable. We were given an upgrade to a spacious room with sumptuous furnishings.

The extensive tours to the ancient Observatory the palace and the Amber Fort were outstanding. The guide took us to a hand printing textile, carpet,jewellery factory hand painting gallery and we bought lovely souvenirs and my husband had 3 shirts made to measure delivered the same evening. The ITC Agra was also a red brick building. Again we were given a sumptuous room. A large hotel with extensive lovely grounds with 2 outdoor pools and the usual decadent spa.

The dawn visit to the Taj Mahal was unforgettable. The guide Brigesh Sharma was outstanding. He took us theough the entry gate slowly and the magnificent Taj grew nearer and nearer.
Certainly better than in the movies. And my ambition to visit these places nearing to an end. Claridges a smaller but lovely hotel was a good end to our adventures. We took a tuktuk to Khan market to buy more souvenirs. Incidentally we paid for most of our food in hotels and purchases on credit card.

We were lucky after weeks of research weeks on emailing various agencies to find an expert company who really cares about his clients.

We are thinking where to go next in India!?
