The Lumle Difference drives us to regularly review our itineraries, in response to guest feedback and local events.

With this in mind, we have decided on changes to our Nepal trip, in order to ensure guest enjoyment and safety.

Whilst feedback regularly reflects that guests enjoy being immersed in the ‘real and authentic’ Nepalese culture it also highlights areas that can be enhanced for a better visit experience.

The current itinerary involves three extended tourist coach transfers [Kathmandu – Pokhara; Pokhara – Chitwan & Chitwan – Kathmandu, of some 7 hours each.

Whilst these journeys do expose travellers to stunning interior sights and scenery, more recently these journeys have been further lengthened through roadway upgrading, landslips and accidents. The new approximate journey times will be around 9-10 hours although may vary depending on the traffic, respectively. I apologise for any inconvenience, but unfortunately, this is out of our control. We are provided with no completion time for the road upgrading.

In light of this, if you would like to book domestic flights between [Kathmandu – Pokhara & Chitwan – Kathmandu] to avoid delays, please do get in touch – they will cost around £279 per person depending on departure date.

The hiking option to Sarangkot also consistently attracts positive feedback, albeit some guests do recommend that parts of this trip be revised from the ‘moderate’ description to ‘ challenging’‎ in our itinerary. We acknowledge that some areas‎ do require more exertion than others, potentially affecting enjoyment.

As a gesture of goodwill, we would like to offer you free road transfers from Pokhara – Sarangkot – Pokhara. These are normally £50 per person, and anyone who added these at the time of booking will be refunded the cost. If you would prefer to keep the standard hike between the destinations, please do get in touch within the next 7 days, otherwise, we will book the road transfers for all guests, free of charge.

Until roadworks are completed, we will add domestic flights in between Kathmandu – Pokhara; Chitwan – Kathmandu and update the price accordingly.
