Santiago, founded by the Spanish conqueror Pedro de Valdivia in 1541 on the banks of the Mapocho River, is the capital of Chile. Ranked as a leading city in Latin America, it concentrates on the economic and administrative activities of the country and is home to Chile´s largest percentage of the population. The city is surrounded by the main wine valleys, with wineries that produce and export high-quality wines worldwide. To the east and across the majestic Andes Range, travelers can visit the city of Mendoza in Argentina.

Day 3 : SIGHTSEEING

(SIB) PANORAMIC CITY TOUR HD (AM) ADULT - ENGLISH GUIDE   

On this exciting journey, we will explore the charms of the vibrant city of Santiago. We will visit the main points of interest, starting with the iconic Plaza de Armas. We´ll can stroll through its beautiful surroundings and marvel at the grandeur of La Moneda Palace, a historical symbol of Chile.

As we continue our tour, we will immerse ourselves in the diversity of the Bellavista, Providencia, and Las Condes neighborhoods. We´ll admire the unique architecture and colorful murals that adorn the streets while embracing the bohemian and modern atmosphere of these places.

A special stop awaits us at Parque Bicentenario, located alongside the emblematic Mapocho River. The name is Mapocho derives from the Mapuche term meaning "water or river of the Mapuche people". These sites hold great importance as we´ll can appreciate the extensive gardens, serene lagoons, and breathtaking panoramic views. We´ll savor a moment of tranquility and connection with nature in this urban oasis.

(SIB) VIÑA DEL MAR & VALPARAISO FULL-DAY ADULT - ENGLISH GUIDE      

On this exciting journey, we will not only discover the charms of the vibrant city of Santiago but also visit two fascinating places in its surroundings. We will start with a visit to the beautiful city of Valparaíso, declared a Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Its hills are filled with multicolored houses and murals, creating an open-air museum. We will explore the picturesque Cerro Alegre, where we will find the iconic Plaza Sotomayor and its important seaport.

We will then continue our journey to the charming coastal city of Viña del Mar. We will make a stop at its famous Flower Clock, an iconic tourist attraction located at the foot of Cerro Castillo, a residential neighborhood.

We will have free time to enjoy a delicious lunch and then head to the beach to dip our feet in the refreshing waters of the Pacific Ocean. The combination of stunning landscapes and the sea breeze will provide us with moments of excitement and connection with nature.

Day 5 : SANTIAGO - PUERTO VARAS

Upon arrival at the airport transfer to the hotel. Remaining time at leisure.

Day 6 : SIGHTSEEING

(SIB) OSORNO VOLCANO + PETROHUE FALLS (WITHOUT LUNCH) 

Pickup from your accommodation in Puerto Varas at around 9:30 a.m., we will head towards Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, a stunning natural destination that covers over 200,000 hectares and combines alpine landscapes, rivers, lakes, and volcanoes. Our first stop will take us to the shores of the beautiful Todos los Santos Lake, famous for its turquoise color and crystal-clear waters, where visitors can enjoy activities, such as kayaking, boating, and fishing on the lake. We will have time to visit Los Saltos del Petrohué (optional, with an additional cost), and then we will continue our journey to the other end of the park, where the majestic Osorno Volcano awaits us. Here, we will have free time to explore the area, and if the chairlifts are in operation, we will have the option to ride them and enjoy an even more breathtaking view from the heights (optional, with an additional cost).

(SIB) CHILOÉ: CASTRO AND DALCAHUE (NO LUNCH)              

Picked up from your accommodation in Puerto Varas at around 8:30 AM, we will embark on a journey to Chiloé, a place steeped in myths and legends. Throughout this excursion, we will unveil the richness of its living culture, blending the sea, gastronomy, its unique folklore, mythology, and astonishing natural landscapes. To reach the island, we will sail through the Chacao Channel, a route that always delights us with breathtaking views and encounters with the region´s native fauna. During the voyage, we will visit the iconic palafitos, colorful houses built on the water, and the Churches, and wooden temples constructed in the archipelago, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our route will lead us to the traditional market of Dalcahue, where we can immerse ourselves in the essence of Chilota life and explore authentic local products. Throughout the day, we will have time to enjoy a delicious local lunch while savoring the landscapes that Chiloé has to offer.

Day 7 : PUERTO VARAS

OPTIONAL TOURS

(SIB) FRUTILLAR WITH MUSEUM VISIT            

Pick up from your accommodation in Puerto Varas at around 9:30 AM to head to the shores of Lake Llanquihue, Chile´s second-largest lake, which offers panoramic views of the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes. Our first stop will be the picturesque town of Frutillar, a welcoming place where we can savor the local culture and warmth through exquisite cuisine. Frutillar has been recognized by UNESCO as a "Creative City of Music," part of a network of nearly 60 cities worldwide that stand out for their connection to the arts. It also reflects the influence of the German settlers who established themselves in the area in the 19th century, manifested in its architecture, gastronomy, and culture. During our visit, we will explore the German Colonial Museum, which houses the legacy of this fascinating past. In this enchanting journey, we will enjoy the southern landscape combined with the cultural development of a city that is already part of the living treasure of the world.

Approximate duration: 4 hours (Subject to destination-specific conditions).

(SIB) VILLA PEULLA + ENTRANCE (WITHOUT LUNCH) + BILINGUAL GUIDE     

Departure at approximately 8:00 AM from our accommodation in Puerto Varas to the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, one of the country´s oldest national parks framed by the majestic Andes mountain range. Inside the park, we will embark from Petrohué Port to sail along Lake Todos los Santos with its crystal-clear emerald waters. During the journey, we will witness a spectacular panoramic view that includes immense volcanoes rising in the middle of a lush landscape. Around noon, we will undertake a hike to Villa Peulla through a truly spectacular natural environment, where we can enjoy native forests, breathtaking panoramic views, and wildlife sightings. In Villa Peulla, we will have free time to relax and explore the surroundings, including options for shopping, gastronomy, and optional ecotourism activities such as Canopy, Kayaking, Horseback Riding, and Tours. At approximately 4:00 PM, we will set sail back to the town of Petrohué and then proceed to our accommodations.

Duration: Approximately 10 hours.
Includes: Transfer from Puerto Varas to Petrohué, entrance to Saltos del Petrohué, round-trip navigation, tour guide, and passenger insurance.

Day 8 : PUERTO VARAS - PUNTA ARENAS - PUERTO NATALES

Today you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to PUNTA ARENAS. Upon arrival at the airport, board a bus (SIB) to PUERTO NATALES. Upon arrival check in to the hotel and remaining time at leisure.

Day 9 : SIGHTSEEING

(SIB) FULL DAY TORRES DEL PAINE WITH LUNCH + ENTRANCES (+18 YEARS)       

We will begin our excursion departing from the city of Puerto Natales with a destination to the majestic Torres del Paine National Park. The park is declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO and is a protected area of the Chilean State. We will visit the Milodon Cave, a Natural Monument formed by three caves and a rocky conglomerate called the ´Devil´s Chair´, which is significant for having found remains of skin and bones of an animal extinct millions of years ago.

We will continue to the Laguna Amarga area, from where, with clear skies, we will be able to take a beautiful postcard-like picture of the Torres del Paine. Further on, we will stop to appreciate the ´Cuernos del Paine´ (Paine Horns), a massif of granite formed thousands of years ago through contact with the magma inside the Earth.

We will walk towards ´Salto Grande´, the largest waterfall in the park, approximately 15 meters high. Our last stop will be Lake Grey, where we will take a walk through a Coigue Forest and a suspension bridge over the Pingo River. We will have the impressive backdrop of Paine Grande, the tallest mountain in the Paine Mountain Range, and the imposing Grey Glacier, which is part of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, the third-largest freshwater reserve on the planet. (Duration of the excursion is approximately 11 to 12 hours).

Includes: Lunch, admission to the Milodon Caves, and entrance to the National Park.

Day 10 : PUERTO NATALES

Today is kept leisure for you so you can explore the day on your way or embark on the optional sightseeing:

OPTIONAL TOURS

(SIB) FULL-DAY NAVIGATION TO BALMACEDA AND SERRANO + HOTEL/PORT/HOTEL TRANSFER (+12 YEARS)

Departure from the hotel in Puerto Natales, where we will begin our journey towards Bernardo O´Higgins National Park. Here, we will encounter the Balmaceda Glacier, which descends from the mountain that shares its name. We will visit Puerto Toro and walk for approximately 30 minutes (basic level trekking) through a marvelous native forest composed of local flora and fauna, such as coins, chakra, and lichens covering tree trunks and rocks.

We will follow the edge of a lake formed by the melting of this mountain glacier until we reach the foot of its impressive front wall. If luck is on our side, we may witness cormorants and sea lions in this beautiful setting along this mythical Patagonian channel. We will enjoy an aperitif with millenary ice and we will have time for lunch in a typical Patagonian Estancia, (Duration of the excursion 8 hrs approx.).

*Activities such as wildlife observation and/or ice shedding, will depend on the weather conditions.

Day 11 : PUERTO NATALES - PUNTA ARENAS - SANTIAGO

Today you will travel by bus (SIB) from PUERTO NATALES to PUNTA ARENAS airport and then fly to SANTIAGO. Upon arrival at the airport transfer to the hotel. Remaining time at leisure.

Day 12 : DEPARTURE

After breakfast depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to the airport for a flight back home.
