Day 1 : DEPARTURE NEW YORK

Today, you will board on an overnight plane from London Heathrow.

Day 2 : LUANG PRABANG ARRIVAL

On arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquillity and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. Pick up and transfer to hotel, free time.

Day 3 : LUANG PRABANG CITY – PAK OV CAVE

An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning alms-giving ritual to saffron-clad monks. This tradition is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving this procession.

After breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour of the city’s oldest temple, Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong where you can see the impressive “tree of life” mosaic set in coloured glass. We then board an upstream cruise on the Mekong River, which gives us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside. We’ll make sure to stop at the Pak Ou Caves, sanctuaries consisting of two large caverns, both repositories for thousands of Buddha images. We will also stop at a few villages during the day, including Ban Xanghai where the local rice wine is produced.

Day 4 : LUANG PRABANG – KHOUANGSI WATERFALL

After breakfast, we visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace displays a lovely collection of the artefacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. The National Museum and the Central Market are not to be missed.

Visit to the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre where you are able to observe valuable artefacts and traditional clothing and implements from each of the 20 ethnic minority groups which inhabit the Luang Prabang area. Later in the morning, we go to the Phosi Market, which has an eclectic selection of foodstuffs and souvenirs. Afterwards, we head out to visit some ethnic minority villages and see how these colourful people live. We then drive to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfalls where you can swim in the turquoise pools or walk along forest paths. We continue to Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xieng Lek – small villages well known for silk weavings and Saa (jute) Papermaking, and return to the city by late evening to observe the sunset at Wat Phabath.

Day 5 : LUANG PRABANG

After breakfast, you have one free day for your relax.

Day 6 : LUANG PRABANG – SIEM REAP

After having breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight to Siemreap.

Meet and greet on arrival at Siem Reap International airport, warmly welcomed by our friendly English Speaking Guide, after that, you explore the stunning Tonle Sap Lake and get a glimpse of living on the lake. It is considered as Southeast Asia’s largest inland freshwater lake with its size varying from season to season. During the dry season, it covers an area of about 2,500 square kilometers; its size quadruples to about 10,000 square kilometers during the wet season. You will journey further to Kampong Phluck, an area thriving with authentic Cambodian fisherman’s life. This island is not an often-frequented tourist destination, but it displays marvelous views of mangrove forest, houses on stilts, and a glimpse of the day-to-day lives of inhabitants.

Day 7 : FULL DAY ANGKOR VISIT

Breakfast at hotel, then transfer to full-day Angkor Tour visit: the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the last capital of Angkor Period (AD 802-1432) until the 15th century, was indeed a Great City as its name implied. Bayon Temple, one of the most popular sites in Angkor complex and over 200 large faces caved on the 54 towers, which at that time represents the 54 provinces in The Khmer Empire, give this temple its majestic character, visit Phimean Akas Temple, Bapoun Temple, Terrace of the Elephant, Terrace of Leper King, Royal enclosure, keep moving on to visit Ta Prohm Temple built in AD 1186 by King Jayavarman VII. Trunks of trees twist amongst stone pillars, and spread their gigantic roots over, under and in between the stones, probing walls and terraces apart, make this temple even more attractive.

Afternoon, proceed to the World Heritage of Angkor Wat, one of the “Seven Wonders’ of the world”. Overnight in Siem Reap, at your selected hotel.

Optional : Experience on Angkor Gondola Boat, a unique Khmer traditional boat in Siem Reap.Discover a natural wonders, hidden treasures of the historical site and cultures where history, nature and culture come alive. You will enjoy and views the past and photograph along Angkor Thom Great Wall, Ron Tadev, Prasat Chrung. And you can also see the beautiful sunset there.

Note : During Temples visit, visitors are required to wear proper attire, covering shoulders and knees as this temple is still considered as sacred site (no short, miniskirt or short trousers).

Children under twelve years old are not allowed to climb up Bakhan tower of Angkor wat Temple, and it will be closed on the Buddhist Sabath Days, the Buddhist religious days, four days a month in accordance with the lunar Calendar.

Day 8 : EXCURSION TO KULEN MOUTAIN

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for an excursion to the Kulen Mountain or Phnom Kulen, which has been declared as National Park. It is an isolated mountain massif located in Svay Leu District and some 48km from Siem reap city. Continue to visit Presh Ang Thom, 1000 Lingas and the waterfall. The river of 1000 Lingas, owes its name to the image of Hindu Gods, their spouses and over 1000 Lingas carved on the bed and river banks of the Siem Reap River in Phnom Ku Len. Head back to Siem Seap city with a visit to the Dragon Fruit Farm on the way.

Day 9 : ROLUOS GROUP

Prepare yourself with a delicious breakfast treat before you head out for your 15-kilometer trip to the outskirts of Siem Reap to view the majestic pre-Angkor temples known as Roluos Group. Roluos is believed to be erected some time during the 8th and 9th centuries by Angkor kings. It is consist of three core temples: Preah Ko, Lolei, and Bakong. It is surrounded by typical Cambodian scenery of rice paddies and sugar palm trees. To make your tour even more exciting, you will get a chance to ride a ox-drawn cart as you travel your way to Roluos Pagoda. Upon arrival, a private blessing ceremony for your health, well-being, and good luck will be held by Buddhist monks for you. This will truly be an unforgettable experience! Head back to your hotel to take shelter from the midday heat. Afternoon, Visit to Sambai Liqueur Work Shop Center, a free tasting session to enjoy all 8 flavors of Sombai directly at the workshop specially designed for this discovery. The workshop & shop have been set up in a charming traditional Khmer house with a homy tasting lounge. After the tasting, you can quietly choose your bottles, whether hand-painted or with a label, which will be unique souvenirs from Siem Reap.

Day 10 : BANTEAY SREY – BANTEAY SAMRE – NEAK PEAN

This morning you head 30km north to visit the captivating and beautiful temple of Banteay Srei or ‘Fortress of the Women’. The journey allows you to experience the beautiful Cambodian countryside as you pass through small typical villages, all carved from pink sandstone. It is said the carvings must have been done by women as the detail is too fine for the hands of a man. on-route you will visit Banteay Samre. Banteay Samre is an elaborately decorated temple, embellished with floral motifs and scenes from the Ramayana.

Afternoon, you continue your Angkor encounter with a visit to the spectacular temples of the Grand Circuit, beginning with Preah Khan or ‘Sacred Sword’, one of the largest temples at Angkor. You continue to Neak Pean surrounded by fountains and ponds. Next is Ta Som and its famous strangler fig tree. Finally, you arrive at Pre Rup, a pleasant spot to experience another Angkor sunset if you wish. Return to the hotel.

Day 11 : SIEM REAP – BATTAMBANG

Breakfast at hotel, transfer to Battambang.

Afternoon, visit Phnom Sampov, Phnom Sampov, 12 kilometers west of Battambang, is the locale for a Homeric Khmer legend in which the machinations of a sentient crocodile were foiled by the stroke of a maiden’s hair.

The story begins in the old Khmer capital in the Dangkrek Mountains, where Prince Reach Kol fell in love with Neang Sovan Macha. Back to the hotel.

Day 12 : BATTAMBANG

Breakfast at hotel. Drive along the picturesque Sangker River to Wat Slaket pagoda, the residence of the provincial Buddhist patriarch. Visit a Khmer Ancient House and make a stop to see the production of rice paper used for making spring rolls. Visit a market where Prahoc, the Cambodian fish paste, is made. Visit the Provincial Museum and the local market. Afternoon, visit Wat Ek Phnom, experience Cambodian Traditional Bamboo Train. Back to the hotel.

Day 13 : BATTAMBANG – PHNOM PENH

Breakfast at hotel, transfer to Phnom Penh by private coach with tour guide escorted.

Upon arrival, Check in hotel ( Check in time 1400 Hrs onward)

Day 14 : PHNOM PENH CITY TOUR

This morning you will learn about the dark side of Cambodia – its more recent turbulent and harrowing history. Initially you visit the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (also known as S21), ironically a former school, located in a quiet Phnom Penh suburb, this was the infamous Khmer Rouge prison / torture centre. Once you have gained an initial insight of the brutality of the Khmer Rouge regime you will be driven 15km from Phnom Penh to visit the ‘Killing Fields’. This is where Toul Sleng prisoners were forcibly marched and then executed; it is now a memorial site located in a beautiful tranquil setting.

Afternoon, Visit Wat Phnom Hill, the historical site of Phnom Penh city, founded in 1372. Independent Monument, inaugurated in 1958 to celebrate Cambodia’s independence from French rule and commemorate the soul of combatants who laid down their lives for freedom of the country. Royal Palace & Silver Pagoda (Royal Palace built in 1866 on the site of the former citadel, a crowning example of Cambodian architecture because it is the official residence of Khmer’s King. Silver Pagoda was named because of the 5000 silver tiles (each weighing 1kg) in the floor of the temple and displayed the holiest Buddha image in Cambodia, Preah Keo (the Emerald Buddha).
