Please note that recent immigration requirements in the Maldives stipulate that non machine readable passports will no longer be accepted on arrival at Male International Airport. As such please be aware that all customers travelling to the Maldives MUST ensure that they are travelling on a biometric or a machine readable passport in order to board their flight.

Seaplanes operate in daylight hours only, therefore you need to select an international flight which arrives into the Maldives no later than 15:30 and departures from Male no earlier than 9am, are usually not accepted. Please note that seaplanes may not operate a direct service and may include multiple drop offs. Please also note that seaplane transfers do not operate in bad weather and this may cause delay reaching your resort. If you are departing on an evening/night international flight, you may experience longer waiting times before your international departure. The scheduled time of your seaplane transfer will be advised the night before your departure. Please note luggage restriction of 1 x 20kg hold luggage per passenger and a maximum of 3kg hand-luggage per passenger(excluding infants). Additional luggage will be charged at approximately USD5.00 per kg. Selecting a resort that is reached by domestic flight and speedboat: Some resorts are reached by a domestic flight. There are scheduled domestic flights departing from the international airports to a smaller airport island followed by an onward speedboat journey to your resort. Please note luggage restriction of 1 x 20kg per passenger (excluding infants). Our in resort team and 24 hour duty office are on hand to support all of our customers with your arrival and departure in to the Maldives. 

Entry in to the Maldives: The Maldivian Government has updated their entry requirements and now all travellers must submit an online health declaration form within 24 hours prior to their departure to Maldives. Please complete your ONLINE SELF-DECLARATIVE HEALTH DECLARATION via https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/ within 24 hours prior to departure TO and FROM Maldives. For convenience and a quick/smooth arrival experience at the airport, complete this health screen questionnaire which will become effective as of 16th July. Anyone who arrives without the online form completed, will be asked to fill it in at the airport and will take time/cause delay.

 Mandatory Extra Customer Note On Arrival: Once you have arrived at Male International Airport and you have collected your luggage, then please exit the Arrivals Hall and immediately locate the airport representative or desk with the name of the hotel you have booked. Please identify yourself to the respective hotel’s airport representative by showing a copy of your booking voucher. If you have booked a Seaplane transfer, you will immediately proceed to the TMA Seaplane counter where you need to check-in for your seaplane transfer. In the unlikely event you should have any difficulty in locating the TMA desk or if your flight has arrived late – please call the DTH helpline where an English-speaking representative will help you. (If calling from a mobile, the international dialling code must be dialled. If calling from a land line there is no need.). On Departure: The pick up stated on your booking is only an estimated time and will be confirmed to you by reception on the evening prior to departure day. Confirmation will be either by way of a phone call to your hotel room or a message left with the hotel staff and delivered to your room.
