Day 1 : DEPART NEW YORK

Today, your journey begins as you board your flight to the captivating city of Lisbon, Portugal. Let the thrill of adventure fill the air as you anticipate exploring its vibrant streets, sun-kissed plazas, and historic charm. Relax and settle in, letting dreams of tiled facades and the golden glow of the Tagus River accompany you through the night. Overnight on board, as the excitement of Portugal awaits.

Day 2 : ARRIVAL IN LISBON

Arrival at Lisbon airport, located on the northern bank of the Tagus River, just a few kilometers from the Atlantic. Reception and transfer to the hotel (most European hotels allow check-in only after 2:00 PM). The rest of the day is free.

Day 3 : LISBON

Morning panoramic tour of Lisbon, renowned for its unique light and incomparable charm. According to legend, the Portuguese capital was originally built on seven hills, stretching along the Tagus River in an undulating landscape filled with historic buildings, cobbled streets, and stunning viewpoints. As the country's capital, Lisbon has witnessed some of Portugal’s most significant historical moments, including 400 years of Arab occupation, the flourishing Age of Exploration, the Great Earthquake of 1755, the end of the monarchy, the years of dictatorship in the 20th century, and the peaceful April 25th Revolution in 1974. Highlights of the tour include the historic district of Belém, home to the Belém Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries, Jerónimos Monastery, and the famous Pastéis de Belém bakery, where you will enjoy a tasting. Free afternoon and evening. Optional tours available.

Day 4 : LISBON

Day 5 : LISBON > ÓBIDOS > NAZARÉ > FÁTIMA

Morning departure to Óbidos, the "village of queens." Explore its charming narrow streets and quaint squares on foot, discovering this beautiful historic village, considered one of the finest examples of a medieval citadel in Europe. Continue to Nazaré, a picturesque beach town known for its fishing traditions and now famous for its giant waves that attract big-wave surfers and global media. Enjoy a gastronomic lunch and a ride on the town's famous funicular. In the afternoon, head to the Sanctuary of Fátima, rooted in the apparitions of Our Lady to three children in 1917. Accommodation with the possibility of participating in the Candlelight Procession.

Day 6 : FÁTIMA > SERRA DA ESTRELA > SABUGUEIRO > COIMBRA

Morning departure through Covilhã to Serra da Estrela, the highest mountain in mainland Portugal, peaking at 1,993 meters. This region’s breathtaking natural beauty is home to sheep that support the local economy by providing wool for textiles and milk for the renowned Serra cheese. Continue to the mountain village of Sabugueiro for a gastronomic lunch. Journey on to Coimbra, situated along the Mondego River; it was Portugal’s capital until 1256 and is home to the country’s oldest university. Visit the magnificent University Library, followed by a panoramic tour highlighting the student "Repúblicas," São Sebastião Aqueduct, and Botanical Garden.
Note: The visit to the Coimbra Library is subject to reconfirmation due to possible official ceremonies that may limit public access.

Day 7 : COIMBRA > AVEIRO > COSTA NOVA > GUIMARÃES > BRAGA

Morning drive to Costa Nova for photos of its iconic striped "palheiros" (traditional houses). Proceed to Aveiro, known for its colorful moliceiro boats navigating the canals, earning it the nickname "Venice of Portugal." Enjoy a boat ride with a tasting of local sweets. Free time to explore and have lunch. In the afternoon, travel to Guimarães, the birthplace of Portuguese nationality. Take a walking tour of its UNESCO-listed historic center before continuing to Braga.

Day 8 : BRAGA > SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA > VALENÇA > PORTO

Explore the scenic Minho and Galicia regions. Start with Braga, one of Portugal’s oldest cities and a prime destination for religious tourism. Ascend to the iconic Bom Jesus do Monte Sanctuary via its famous water-powered funicular. Cross into Spain’s Galicia region, reaching Santiago de Compostela, a major religious pilgrimage site since the discovery of Apostle St. James' tomb in the 9th century. Visit the renowned Cathedral. Return to Portugal with a stop in Valença do Minho, a historic border town known for one of Europe's best-preserved military structures. Day 9 : PORTO

Morning tour of Porto, with its historic center designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include Boavista Avenue, Foz District, Clérigos Tower, Aliados Avenue, and Lapa Church. Visit the 12th-century Cathedral and the tile-adorned São Bento Station. Cross to Vila Nova de Gaia for a Port wine cellar tour and tasting. Optional tours available.

Day 10 : PORTO > AMARANTE > DOURO VALLEY > PESO DA RÉGUA > SALAMANCA

Depart to Amarante, known for St. Gonçalo, a saint associated with marriage and fertility. After a brief stop, continue through the stunning Douro Valley, home to terraced vineyards producing Portugal's famed Port wine. Arrive at Peso da Régua, formerly a key wine export hub, with free time to explore. Proceed to Salamanca, Spain, renowned as the "Golden City" and a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its rich history and splendid Renaissance architecture. Accommodation in Salamanca.

Day 11 : SALAMANCA > ÁVILA > SEGOVIA > MADRID

Morning guided tour of Salamanca, highlighting the Old and New Cathedrals and the iconic Plaza Mayor, considered Spain’s most beautiful. Continue to Ávila for a panoramic view of its medieval walls and birthplace of St. Teresa of Jesus. Onward to Segovia, a UNESCO site famed for its Roman aqueduct. Enjoy a gastronomic lunch before traveling to Madrid, Spain’s vibrant capital. Accommodation with free time.

Day 12 : MADRID

Panoramic tour of Madrid, covering key neighbourhoods and landmarks: Paseo de la Castellana, Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Cibeles Square, Paseo del Prado (with its famous museum), Atocha Station, Retiro Park, Las Ventas Bullring, and Oriente Square (featuring the Royal Palace, Opera House, and Philip IV’s statue). Free afternoon and evening. Optional tours available.

Day 13 : MADRID

Free day for personal activities. Suggested visits include the world-renowned Prado Museum or the Royal Palace, now a magnificent museum. In the afternoon, consider exploring the Reina Sofía Museum.

Day 14 : DEPARTURE FROM MADRID

Hotel services end with breakfast (rooms may be occupied until 10 or 12, depending on hotel policy). Free time until transfer to the airport. Safe travel!
