Day 1 : TAKE OFF FROM NEW YORK – YOUR TAIWAN ADVENTURE BEGINS

Your journey to Taiwan begins today as you depart from NEW YORK, one of the world’s busiest international airports. Settle in for your long-haul flight to the vibrant capital of Taiwan – Taipei, a city where ancient temples meet cutting-edge skyscrapers, and night markets hum with energy late into the evening.

Whether you're travelling in economy, premium or business class, take a moment to relax as you cruise above continents toward the heart of East Asia. Enjoy in-flight entertainment, onboard meals, and anticipate the rich culture, mouth-watering street food, and fascinating history that await you in Taiwan.

This overnight flight marks the beginning of a once-in-a-lifetime adventure across one of Asia’s most compelling and underrated destinations. Your Taiwan holiday from the NEW YORK has officially begun.

Day 2 : ARRIVAL IN TAIWAN – STEP INTO THE ENERGY OF TAIPEI

Touch down in Taiwan! Today marks the beginning of your unforgettable journey as you arrive at Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), Taipei’s main gateway. After clearing customs, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel by private car (note: this transfer is without a guide), allowing for a smooth and comfortable start to your adventure.

Once you’ve checked in, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Whether you choose to relax and recharge or take a casual stroll through the nearby streets to sample your first taste of Taiwanese culture, the city offers a warm and welcoming introduction. From colourful street markets to peaceful temples tucked between high-rises, Taipei begins to unfold around you.

Day 3 : JOURNEY TO SUN MOON LAKE – TAIWAN’S TRANQUIL HEARTLAND AWAITS

This morning marks the true beginning of your Taiwan round-the-island adventure as you bid farewell to bustling Taipei and head toward the breathtaking heart of the island. Your destination: the legendary Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area, an ethereal region steeped in natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Nestled in the misty mountains of central Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake is the island’s largest freshwater lake, its name inspired by its striking shape—where the eastern side resembles a glowing sun and the western side a delicate crescent moon. At the centre lies Lalu Island, sacred to the Thao people, one of Taiwan’s few surviving indigenous tribes whose stories still echo through the surrounding hills.

After a local lunch, enjoy a scenic bus tour around the lake’s most iconic landmarks. Begin at Ita Thao Village, a living cultural tapestry where you’ll glimpse the traditions, crafts, and flavours of Thao life. Then ascend to the elegant Ci’en Pagoda, built by former President Chiang Kai-shek in loving memory of his mother, offering panoramic views and peaceful reflection above the treetops.

Your exploration continues with visits to two significant temples. First, the serene Xuanzang Temple, dedicated to the famous Buddhist monk who journeyed to India in search of sacred texts. Then on to the majestic Wenwu Temple, where stunning lake views frame intricate shrines honouring the gods of literature and martial arts.

With the rich insight of your expert guide, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the spiritual, historical, and cultural fabric that makes Sun Moon Lake one of Taiwan’s must-visit destinations.

Tonight, unwind in comfort at a carefully selected 5-star hotel, either overlooking the tranquil waters of Sun Moon Lake or in the lively city of Taichung, ready for more discovery tomorrow.

Day 4 : FROM LAKESIDE SERENITY TO SOUTHERN CHARMS – DISCOVER TAINAN & KAOHSIUNG

Begin your second full day in Taiwan with a leisurely breakfast amid the tranquil beauty of Sun Moon Lake. Then set off by coach toward the island’s south, diving into layers of history and spirituality that define this fascinating region.

Your first stop is Tainan, Taiwan’s oldest city and former capital. Rich in heritage and tradition, Tainan is a living museum of ancient temples and colonial-era architecture. Step back in time as you explore the historic Fort Zeelandia, originally built by the Dutch East India Company during their 38-year rule in the 17th century. Though it faced near destruction during British attacks and was later restored under Japanese influence, it still stands today as a testament to Taiwan’s layered colonial past.

From here, enjoy a walk along the charming Anping Old Street—Taiwan’s first officially named street—lined with vibrant stalls selling everything from local snacks to traditional crafts. Be sure to try some of Tainan’s most iconic delicacies, such as shrimp rolls, tofu pudding, and beef soup, adding a rich culinary twist to your cultural experience.

After lunch, continue your journey south to Kaohsiung, a coastal city that blends romantic harbour views with urban charm. Upon arrival, head straight to the awe-inspiring Fo Guang Shan Monastery, Taiwan’s largest Buddhist monastery. Founded in 1967 by Master Hsing Yun, the monastery is famed for its Great Buddha Land, where a towering 36-metre golden statue of Buddha Amitabha is flanked by 480 smaller statues, creating a scene of profound serenity.

During your visit, you’ll have the chance to interact with a resident monk who will share insights into Buddhism’s role in Taiwanese life and the monastery’s mission of compassion, wisdom, and peace.

Tonight, unwind at a well-appointed 5-star hotel in Kaohsiung, conveniently located near shopping malls, convenience stores, and pharmacies. This is a great opportunity to relax and pick up any travel essentials as you prepare for the next stage of your Taiwan journey.

Day 5 : COASTAL WONDERS & HOT SPRINGS – EXPLORE KENTING & RELAX IN TAITUNG

After a hearty breakfast in Kaohsiung, your journey continues south along Taiwan’s picturesque coast toward its sun-soaked southern tip. Today, you’ll explore the tropical paradise of Kenting National Park—Taiwan’s first national park and a haven for nature lovers, surfers, and divers alike.

Blessed with a tropical climate and shaped by dramatic geological forces, Kenting is home to stunning coastal formations and lush landscapes. Begin your exploration at Maopitou—the "Cat’s Nose"—a windswept rock formation that resembles a crouching feline staring into the sea. Then continue to Chuanfan Rock, or "Sail Rock," a striking sea stack whose shape has inspired comparisons to a sailing ship—and even a profile of Richard Nixon!

Your journey through Kenting continues with a visit to the historic Eluanpi Lighthouse, built during the Qing Dynasty and once listed among the Eight Views of Taiwan during the Japanese era. Standing proudly at the island’s southernmost point, it offers sweeping views over the ocean. Finally, head to Longpan Park, where a vast coral limestone plateau opens up to breathtaking views of the Pacific, shaped over millennia by wind and rain.

In the afternoon, travel east along the scenic South Link Highway, taking in ever-changing views as you make your way to Taitung. Your destination is the peaceful hot spring town of Zhiben, nestled in the lush hills of Taitung County.

Tonight, enjoy a well-deserved rest at a serene hot spring resort. Known for its natural carbonate-rich waters, Zhiben Hot Springs are famed for improving circulation and easing fatigue—making it the perfect place to unwind after a day of coastal discovery.

Day 6 : COASTAL WONDERS & CANYON VIEWS – DISCOVER TAIWAN’S UNTAMED EAST

Awake to the calm beauty of Taitung and enjoy a delicious breakfast as your Taiwan journey continues north along the island’s untouched eastern coast. Often called the last unspoiled frontier of Taiwan, this stretch of rugged coastline offers some of the most dramatic scenery and unique geological formations on the island.

Your first stop is the fascinating Xiaoyehliu (Fugang Geopark), nicknamed “Little Yehliu” for its resemblance to the famous rock formations found in northern Taiwan. Get up close to surreal coastal sculptures carved by millennia of wind and sea erosion—each one a natural masterpiece shaped by time.

Next, travel to the mystical Sanxientai, or “Terrace of the Three Immortals.” This otherworldly site features coral reefs, an offshore island, and a photogenic arched bridge linking the mainland to the isle. It’s one of the most iconic landmarks within the East Coast National Scenic Area, offering stunning views and a touch of local legend.

Continue to Shitiping—a dramatic sea-eroded platform where stone steps, sea grooves, cliffs, and potholes have turned this coastline into a living outdoor geology classroom. Here, the power of the Pacific has left its mark in breathtaking fashion, making it a haven for nature photographers and geology lovers alike.

Before reaching your final stop, visit Fanshuliao, a lesser-known but equally enchanting gorge often referred to as a “mini Taroko.” With its narrow canyons and lush surroundings, it offers a peaceful preview of what’s to come on your final day.

Your day ends in Hualien, the marble capital of Taiwan. Visit a local marble factory to gain insight into how this beautiful stone has played a vital role in the region’s economy and culture. Discover intricate marble creations and learn about the craftsmanship that’s made Hualien famous worldwide.

Tonight, settle into a luxurious 5-star resort in Hualien, where tranquillity meets elegance. Rest well—tomorrow, you’ll experience one of Asia’s greatest natural wonders: the spectacular Taroko Gorge.

Day 7 : MARVELS OF MARBLE – EXPLORE TAROKO GORGE & RETURN TO TAIPEI

On the final day of your Taiwan round-the-island journey, prepare to be swept away by the breathtaking grandeur of Taroko National Park—home to one of the world’s deepest marble canyons and Taiwan’s most iconic natural wonder. After breakfast, your adventure begins with a scenic drive into this dramatic landscape of sheer cliffs, turquoise rivers, and lush forested gorges.

Your first stop is the picturesque Cimu Bridge, meaning “Loving Mother Bridge,” a poetic tribute to maternal devotion. A bright red steel bridge now spans the gorge where the original white marble bridge once stood, offering sweeping views of the river bend below—a natural artwork shaped over millions of years.

Continue to the awe-inspiring Tunnel of Nine Turns, widely regarded as the most beautiful section of Taroko Gorge. Walk along a cliffside path carved through marble, with views of the swirling Liwu River far below and towering canyon walls above, etched with geological folds and streaked with lush vegetation.

Next, follow the Swallow Grotto Trail, named for the swallows that once nested in the natural potholes of the cliff face. These tunnels offer a unique vantage point to admire the sheer marble cliffs, rising dramatically from the riverbed and curving into the sky.

Your adventure continues at the Buluowan Suspension Bridge, a 196-metre-long marvel suspended 152 metres above the valley floor. From this spectacular viewpoint, take in panoramic vistas of the Liwu River Valley to the east and the grandeur of Swallow Grotto to the west—an unforgettable scene of Taiwan’s untamed beauty.

The journey then leads to the Eternal Spring Shrine, a serene memorial honouring the 225 workers who died building the Central Cross-Island Highway. Cascading beneath the shrine is a graceful waterfall flowing from the cliffs, creating a tranquil and symbolic scene of life and remembrance.

Before concluding your Taroko experience, stop at the majestic Qingshui Cliff, one of Taiwan’s “Eight Wonders.” Towering over 1,000 metres high and stretching 21 kilometres along the Pacific coast, this dramatic sea cliff plunges almost vertically into the ocean. Take a moment at the viewpoint to soak in one of the most striking coastal panoramas in all of Asia.

As the sun begins to set, return to Taipei, arriving at your hotel or designated drop-off point in the evening. Reflect on the diverse landscapes, rich culture, and unforgettable memories forged over six extraordinary days. This marks the end of your immersive 5-day Taiwan tour—a journey across mountains, temples, coastlines, and canyons that will stay with you forever.

Day 8 : LEISURE IN TAIPEI – DEPART FOR HANOI

Enjoy a relaxed morning in Taipei, with free time to unwind, pack, or explore the nearby surroundings at your own pace. This is your chance to savour a final taste of Taiwan—perhaps a stroll to a local café, a last-minute souvenir hunt, or simply soaking in the skyline one last time.

At the designated time, you will be transferred to the airport for your international flight to Hanoi, Vietnam, marking the beginning of your next unforgettable adventure in Southeast Asia.

Day 9 : WELCOME TO VIETNAM – ARRIVAL IN HANOI

Touch down in Hanoi, the vibrant capital of Vietnam, where timeless tradition meets modern energy. Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel in the heart of the city.

The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Take this time to relax after your journey or venture out to catch your first glimpse of Hanoi’s charming boulevards, peaceful lakes, and lively street scenes.

Note: Standard hotel check-in time is 2:00 PM. Early check-in is not included but can be arranged at an additional cost if needed.

Overnight stay in Hanoi, ready to begin your Vietnam adventure in full tomorrow.

Day 10 : CRUISE INTO PARADISE – FROM HANOI TO THE EMERALD WATERS OF HALONG BAY

After breakfast, leave the bustling streets of Hanoi behind as you embark on a scenic 2.5-hour drive to the legendary Halong Bay. Along the way, enjoy a short refreshment break to stretch your legs and soak in the Vietnamese countryside.

Upon arrival at this UNESCO World Heritage Site, you’ll be welcomed aboard your elegant deluxe junk boat. Settle into your private cabin, then head to the deck for a delicious welcome lunch as you begin your 2-day/1-night Halong Bay cruise through a surreal seascape of towering limestone karsts, emerald waters, and hidden coves.

In the afternoon, choose your own pace of discovery—kayak through serene lagoons, take a refreshing dip in the bay, or simply relax on deck and take in the panoramic views as the sun begins to dip below the horizon.

As twilight sets in, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner onboard, then fall asleep to the gentle lapping of the waves—overnight on the water in Halong Bay, under a sky full of stars.

Day 11 : SUNRISE SERENITY IN HALONG BAY & EVENING ARRIVAL IN HISTORIC HUE

Rise early to greet the day as Halong Bay awakens under a soft golden glow. Head to the upper deck with a warm cup of tea or coffee in hand and take in the breathtaking sunrise as the limestone karsts slowly emerge from the morning mist—each rock formation glowing in a palette of pastels.

Your cruise continues through the majestic seascapes of Halong Bay, gliding past islets and hidden coves one last time. Then enjoy a leisurely brunch on board while soaking up the final views of this otherworldly bay.

By midday, your junk boat will dock at Ha Long City Pier, where your driver will be waiting to transfer you to Hanoi Airport. Sit back and relax during the scenic return journey through northern Vietnam’s peaceful countryside.

In the late afternoon, board your flight from Hanoi to Hue (recommended departure after 17:00 PM). Upon arrival in the former imperial capital, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in.

The evening is free for you to relax and explore at your own pace. Overnight in Hue, ready to uncover the city’s royal heritage the following day.

Note: We recommend booking your Hanoi – Hue flight no earlier than 17:00 PM to allow comfortable transfer time from Halong Bay.

Day 12 : IMPERIAL ELEGANCE – DISCOVER HUE’S ROYAL LEGACY

Step back in time today as you delve into the regal heart of Hue, Vietnam’s former imperial capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site steeped in history, culture, and splendour. Once the seat of the Nguyen Dynasty, Hue is home to an extraordinary collection of imperial monuments, ancient tombs, and sacred pagodas.

Begin your day at the grand Imperial Citadel, located within the Complex of Hue Monuments. Enter through the imposing gates and explore the palaces, pavilions, and ornate temples that once served the emperors of Vietnam. Though parts of the complex were damaged during wartime, many exquisite sections remain intact or beautifully restored, preserving the grandeur of the former royal court. Your guide will bring this historic site to life with stories of palace intrigue and dynastic power.

Next, travel to the serene Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue’s most iconic religious monument. This seven-tiered tower, built in 1601, stands proudly on a hill overlooking the Perfume River, and has long been a symbol of the city’s spiritual heritage.

In the afternoon, venture outside the city to explore two of Hue’s most remarkable royal tombs. Visit the striking Tomb of Khai Dinh, where East meets West in an extraordinary fusion of Vietnamese imperial and French Gothic design. Admire the contrast between its dark, weathered façade and the brilliantly coloured mosaics within.

Continue to the tranquil Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, a masterpiece of traditional Vietnamese architecture nestled among pine trees and lotus-filled ponds. Built between 1864 and 1867, this elegant complex reflects the poetic soul of one of Vietnam’s most contemplative emperors.

Before returning to your hotel, you may stop by a local incense-making village to see how colourful incense sticks are crafted by hand—a beautiful insight into Hue’s artisanal traditions.

Return to your hotel in the early evening. Overnight in Hue, with the echoes of Vietnam’s imperial past still lingering in the air.

Day 13 : FROM ROYAL HUE TO TIMELESS HOI AN – JOURNEY ALONG THE HAI VAN PASS

After breakfast at your hotel, bid farewell to the imperial city of Hue and begin your scenic journey south to the enchanting Ancient Town of Hoi An.

Travel along the dramatic Hai Van Pass, one of Vietnam’s most spectacular coastal roads. As your vehicle winds through misty mountain curves, take in panoramic views of lush hillsides on one side and the sparkling East Sea on the other. Be sure to have your camera ready—the vistas from the top of the pass are truly breathtaking and have made this route famous among travellers and photographers alike.

En route, pass through the vibrant city of Danang, a modern hub where beaches and business blend seamlessly. You may catch glimpses of the striking Dragon Bridge or the serene shores of My Khe Beach as you continue your drive toward Hoi An.

Arrive in Hoi An, a UNESCO-listed gem known for its lantern-lit streets, preserved merchant houses, and rich cultural fusion. After check-in, the rest of your day is free to relax or begin exploring this magical riverside town at your own pace.

Overnight in Hoi An, where history, charm, and atmosphere await around every corner.

Day 14 : DISCOVER HOI AN AT YOUR OWN PACE

Wake up in the heart of Hoi An and enjoy a leisurely breakfast before a full day of freedom to explore this charming riverside town at your own pace. Whether you're drawn to history, shopping, cuisine, or relaxation, Hoi An offers something for every traveller.

Stroll through the beautifully preserved Ancient Town, where narrow lanes are lined with ochre-coloured buildings, tailor shops, and lantern-strung cafes. Visit iconic landmarks like the Japanese Covered Bridge, browse local art galleries, or sip a Vietnamese iced coffee as you people-watch from a shady terrace.

In the afternoon, you might opt for a cooking class, a cycling tour through the rice paddies, or a boat ride along the peaceful Thu Bon River. However you choose to spend your time, the magic of Hoi An will unfold with ease.

Overnight in Hoi An, where each evening brings a new glow as colourful lanterns light up the town.

If you're feeling adventurous, you might explore the countryside by bicycle, visit nearby craft villages, or take a photography walk through the lantern-lit alleyways of the Old Town. For foodies, the local street food and bustling markets are a treasure trove of flavours waiting to be sampled.

As the sun sets, return to the Ancient Town where the river glows with floating candles and traditional music drifts through the air—an unforgettable final night in this cultural gem.

At the designated time, transfer to Danang Airport for your short flight to Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon—the dynamic southern heart of Vietnam.

Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel in the bustling city centre. The rest of the day is free to explore at your own pace. You may wish to enjoy a rooftop cocktail, explore nearby markets, or simply relax after your journey.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City, where historic charm and modern energy blend into one unforgettable experience.

Today, uncover the vibrant heart of Ho Chi Minh City—a buzzing metropolis of over eight million residents and four million motorbikes. Known for its dazzling energy, Saigon also wears its past proudly, offering a fascinating blend of colonial elegance, wartime history, and cultural richness.

Begin your day in the city centre with a walking tour along Dong Khoi Street, the city’s historic boulevard. Admire beautifully preserved French colonial landmarks like the Saigon Opera House and the striking Notre Dame Cathedral, built entirely from red bricks imported from France. Across the square, step inside the Central Post Office, an architectural gem completed in 1891 and designed by Gustave Eiffel.

Next, take a short drive to the iconic Reunification Palace (formerly the Presidential Palace), a time capsule of the American War era and once the seat of the South Vietnamese government. Continue to City Hall, one of the most elegant colonial buildings in Saigon, glowing golden at night.

Pause to experience Saigon’s street café culture, sipping local coffee while your guide shares stories about everyday life in this dynamic city.

In the afternoon, gain a powerful perspective at the War Remnants Museum, where thought-provoking exhibits offer a deeply human view of the American War. Please note that some displays may be graphic and emotionally intense.

Then delve into Saigon’s spiritual side with a visit to Thien Hau Pagoda in bustling Chinatown. Built by the Cantonese community in the early 1800s, this richly decorated temple honours the Goddess of the Sea. According to local tradition, you can write a wish on a card and hang it on an incense coil for good fortune.

Conclude the day with a visit to FITO Museum, Vietnam’s first museum dedicated to traditional medicine. Wander through beautifully arranged exhibits that trace the history and holistic practices of Vietnamese healing across centuries.

Return to your hotel in the evening, reflecting on a day filled with discovery, emotion, and insight into the many layers of Ho Chi Minh City.

Today is yours to enjoy at leisure in the vibrant metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City. Whether you wish to dive deeper into the city's cultural gems, indulge in local cuisine, or simply relax, the day is yours to shape.

You might choose to wander through local markets like Ben Thanh Market for souvenirs and street food, explore hidden alleyways lined with quirky cafés and boutique shops, or visit museums and galleries at your own pace.

Alternatively, take time to unwind—perhaps with a Vietnamese massage or spa treatment, or by enjoying a quiet moment in one of Saigon’s lush green parks. If you’re a foodie, consider joining a cooking class or embarking on a local street food tour in the evening.
