Day 1 : DEPARTURE FROM NEW YORK – JOURNEY TO UZBEKISTAN

Day 2 : ARRIVAL IN TASHKENT – EXPLORING THE HEART OF UZBEKISTAN

Today, embark on your exciting journey as you board your flight to Uzbekistan. Begin your Central Asian adventure in Tashkent, the ancient capital city rich in history and culture. Upon arrival, check in to your comfortable hotel and take a leisurely stroll to explore the city's iconic landmarks. Visit the historic Khast Imam Mosque, home to the world’s oldest Quran, and admire the traditional artistry at the Barak-Khan Madrassah. Wander through the lively local bazaar to immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Uzbekistan.

Day 3 : JOURNEY TO KHIVA – A STEP BACK IN TIME

After a restful night, your driver will transfer you to the airport for a flight to Urgench. From there, enjoy a scenic drive to the ancient city of Khiva, known for its UNESCO-listed inner city, Itchan Kala. Enclosed by towering, crumbling walls, this architectural treasure boasts over fifty historical wonders, including the 10th-century Djuma Mosque, famous for its great hall supported by 112 wooden columns. End your day with a delightful dinner at Toza Bog, the last Khan’s summer palace.

Day 4 : DARVAZA – THE DOOR TO HELL

Today, cross the border into Turkmenistan for an unforgettable adventure. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kunya-Urgench, home to medieval monuments such as the majestic Turabek-Hanum mausoleum and the towering Kutlug Timur minaret. Then, journey into the vast Karakum Desert to witness the awe-inspiring Darvaza Gas Crater, famously known as the "Door to Hell." Spend the night camping next to the glowing crater under a blanket of stars.

Day 5 : ASHGABAT – INTO THE TURKMENISTAN DESERT

Wake up to the serene beauty of the desert and enjoy breakfast at the camp. Then, continue your journey through the arid landscape, stopping to observe two more natural gas craters, where boiling water and bubbling mud create a mesmerizing sight. Arrive in the fascinating city of Ashgabat by evening, where you’ll settle into your cozy accommodation and relax after a day of exploration.

Day 6 : DISCOVERING ANCIENT ASHGABAT AND NISSA

Today, venture just outside Ashgabat to visit the UNESCO-listed ancient fortress of Nissa, a royal necropolis dating back to 250 BC. After soaking in the historical ambiance, take a scenic drive through the Ushelye Gorge for a picturesque picnic. On your return, stop by an Akhal Teke horse farm to marvel at the metallic-coated horses, then dive into the history and culture of Turkmenistan with a visit to the National Museum of History and Ethnography.

Day 7 : MARY & MERV – THE SILK ROAD LEGACY

Fly from Ashgabat to Mary and embark on an immersive exploration of Merv, an ancient hub of the Silk Road. Wander through the ruins of this once-great empire, from the 6th-century Kyz-Kalas forts to the elaborately decorated Seljuk-era mausoleums. Merv’s historical significance is palpable as you uncover layers of civilizations that thrived here for centuries.

Day 8 : CROSSING BACK TO BUKHARA – A CITY OF LEARNING

Cross back into Uzbekistan and travel to Bukhara, the cultural heart of Central Asia. Renowned for its Islamic architecture and scholarly heritage, this city offers a rich tapestry of history. Take a relaxing walk around the tranquil Lab-i-Hauz, gaze up at the towering Po-i-Kalyan Minaret, and explore the surrounding madrassas. A visit to the 9th-century Samanid Mausoleum is a must, showcasing the earliest architectural marvels of the region.

Day 9 : ROYAL SPLENDOR IN BUKHARA

Continue your exploration of Bukhara by visiting the luxurious 18th-century Bolo Khauz complex, built for the wife of an Emir. Then, head to Sitorai Mokhi Hosa, a summer residence once reserved for royalty. Cap off the day with a spiritual journey to the Baha-ud-Din Naqshband memorial, a sacred Sufi pilgrimage site.

Day 10 : SAMARKAND – THE PEARL OF CENTRAL ASIA

Travel to the legendary city of Samarkand via the pottery town of Gijduvan. Here, visit a ceramics workshop and meet master artisans over tea before continuing your drive to Samarkand. Once there, enjoy a traditional Uzbek lunch followed by a stroll around Registan Square, surrounded by three stunningly intricate madrassas.

Day 11 : SAMARKAND – EXPLORING TIMURID MASTERPIECES

Spend the day discovering the historical treasures of Samarkand. Visit the Bibi-Khanym Mosque, famous for its turquoise dome, and the sprawling necropolis of Shak-i-Zinda. Stand in awe at the Gur Emir Mausoleum, the resting place of Tamerlane. End the day by gazing at the heavens from Ulugbek’s Observatory, a symbol of scientific achievement from the Timurid era.

Day 12 : SAMARKAND – A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME

Start your day with a visit to Samarkand’s ancient paper mill, where traditional paper-making techniques have been preserved. Visit the mausoleum of Daniel the Prophet, a revered pilgrimage site for Jews, Christians, and Muslims. The afternoon is yours to explore at your leisure—be sure to visit the bustling Sivab Bazaar to sample local delicacies.

Day 13 : SHAKHRISABZ – THE SUMMER PALACE OF TAMERLANE

Embark on a scenic drive through the lush Uzbek countryside to Shakhrisabz, Tamerlane’s birthplace and the location of his grandiose summer residence, the Ak-Saray Palace. Though in ruins, the palace still reflects its former splendor. After a day of exploration, return to Samarkand for a relaxing evening.

Day 14 : RETURN TO TASHKENT – A SWEET FAREWELL

Drive back to Tashkent, stopping en route at Bakhmal village to taste their unique honey, produced from cotton plants. Upon arrival in Tashkent, enjoy a final afternoon of sightseeing and souvenir shopping before indulging in a farewell dinner.

Day 15 : DEPARTURE – UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN
